| Day 01: Arrival – Vientiane (-/-/-)
On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred
to your hotel. Your half day city tour enables us to see the major temples of
Vientiane including the oldest, Wat Sisaket, a temple of thousands of miniature
Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously
housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. We also visit Lao national icon, That
Luang Stupa, and we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument,
which is Vientiane’s
own Arc de Triumph. Overnight in Vientiane
Day 02: Vientiane - Vang Vieng (B/-/-)
Travel to the north, we will see some breathtaking scenery
enroute as we pass through spectacular countryside towards the mountainous
region. Along the way we visit the busy and colourful market of Thalat where
various hill tribes come to trade goods and buy provisions. A next stop of our
trip is Vang Xang, famous for its archeological site dating back to the 11th
century. We reach our final destination Vang Vieng, which is nestled on a bend
of the Nam Song River.

Day 03: Vang Vieng - Luang Prabang (B/-/-)
 As part of our half day tour of Vang Vieng, we explore the famous caves of Tham Jang, which was once used by the local people as a hideout from Chinese invaders. We also cross the river to Ban Huai Ngai, a very pleasant village where we can explore the different lifestyles of the locals. Following lunch, we head north up route 13 to Luang Prabang. The stunning mountain scenery makes for an interesting journey. After a couple of photo stops, we arrive in Luang Prabang early evening. Overnight in Luang Prabang
Day 04: Luang Prabang - City Tour (B/-/-)
Start your tour with a visit to the Royal Palace
Museum, which hosts a
range of interesting artifacts. We then enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the
city’s oldest temple
of Wat Sene and the
magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which
represents classical Laotian architecture; visit the impressive stupa of Wat
Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham. Following lunch, we visit the Arts and
Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos’
many ethnic cultures before we head out of town to see the weaving villages of
Ban Xiengkhong and Ban Xienglek. We then return to the city for a visit to Wat
Mai. We then climb up to the top of Mount
Phousi. The tour ends
after a visit to the famous Night Market.
Overnight in Luang Prabang
Day 05: Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfall and Pak Ou Caves (B/-/-)
Have a beginning in Phousi Market, where you will see such
diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens,
vegetables and hill-tribe weavings; visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority
groups at Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou a Laoloum village and Ban Thapene,
a Khmu villages. This then takes us to the beautiful Khuang Si Waterfall. This
afternoon, we embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River,
which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before
reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai. On return, we disembark the
boat to visit traditional villages, and continue taking a short drive to Ban
Phanom. Overnight in Luang Prabang
Day 06: Luang Prabang - Departure (B/-/-)
Depending on your flight, you may have time at leisure before you will be transferred to the airport in time for your departing flight. Trip Price Included- Transportation in private
