Brief TourCaibe floating market:"Floating market" well known in the Southwest region
Vinh Long: the center and is the epitome of the Mekong River Delta

Day 1: Saigon - Vinh Long (B/L/D)

Today, travel southwest to the Mekong Delta for a home-stay experience. On arrival, board the charming Mekong Queen to visit the bustling Cai Be floating market, filled with a number of boats bursting with fruits, vegetables, and other products along the river banks. Lunch in the restaurant. Then you can also take a stroll around the orchard to learn how it contributes to the family’s livelihood. Other interesting visits include a family that weaves bamboo baskets and a brick factory. Then head to the traditional home where you will spend the night. Prepare dinner with your host family and guide, learning about their daily lives. After dinner, a local boat will bring you back to the Mekong River for a local custom – lowering flower garlands and colored lanterns down into the river while enjoying the tranquil surroundings and peaceful scenery. This local custom is usually conducted to pray for blessings, good weather or a fruitful crop. The Mekong Delta sleeps early, so you will be back in your bunk in no time. The bed may be not luxurious and the mosquito net may be uncomfortable at first, but this is a great way to get in tune with nature and surroundings, amidst the sounds of crickets, lizards, frogs doing their utmost to outdo each other. Home stay in Vinh Long

Day 2: Vinh Long - Saigon

Get up and watch the village come to life in the morning. Enjoy a typical Mekong Delta breakfast before visiting a rural village market with the family to select locally produced food, vegetables and spices for your lunch. Once you are back, join in the gardening activities ranging from watering and pruning to harvesting. Lunch is a delicious home-cooked meal. Say your farewells to the family and return to Saigon.
